การใช้ be going to โครงสร้าง หลักไวยากรณ์ เราใช้รูปประโยค be going + to + INFINITIVE ในความหมาย กำลังจะ และ be + going + to + PLACE ในความหมาย กำลังไป เช่น It is going to rain. I’m going to school. ทั้งสองแบบมีโครงสร้างเป็น Present Continuous Tense เหมือนกัน แต่ be going + to + INFINITIVE มีความหมายเป็น Future นะคะ เรามาดูการใช้ be going to กันสักหน่อยค่ะว่ามีหลักการใช้ยังไงบ้าง

การใช้ be going to ในประโยคบอกเล่าทั่วไป ตัวอย่างเช่น

I am going to leave.
He/She/It is going to leave.
We/You/They are going to leave.

การใช้ be going to ในประโยคบอกเล่าเชิงลบ/เชิงปฏิเสธ (negative) ตัวอย่างเช่น

I am not going to leave.
He/She/It is not going to leave.
We/You/They are not going to leave.

การใช้ be going to ในประโยคคำถาม ตัวอย่างเช่น

Am I going to start?
Is he/she/it going to start?
Are we/you/they going to start?

เรามักจะใช้รูปแบบย่อของ be (‘m, ‘s, ‘re) ตัวอย่างเช่น

I’m going to play tennis today.
They’re going to play football next week.
He’s going to visit his dad tomorrow.

รูปแบบย่อสำหรับประโยคเชิงลบ/เชิงปฏิเสธ (negative) สามารถใช้ได้สองแบบ ตัวอย่างเช่น

He/She/It isn’t going to come. หรือ
He’s/She’s/It’s not going to come

You/we/the aren’t going to come. หรือ
You’re/We’re/They’re not going to come.

เราใช้ be going to กับเหตุการณ์ที่มีการตัดสินใจจะทำในอนาคต เช่น
A: What are you going to do tomorrow?
B: I’m going to visit my dad in Phrae.
A: Are you going to drive?
B: No, I’m going to take the train.

เราใช้ be going to กับการคาดการเหตุการณ์ที่จะเกิดเมื่อมีข้อมูลที่เรารู้ เช่น
Look at that dark cloud! It’s going to rain.
I’ve eaten too much. I’m going to be ill.
Look at the time. It’s three o’clock. They aren’t going to come now.

การใช้ be going to + PLACE(สถานที่) = กำลังไป…

I am going to Chiang Mai next week. หรือ
I’m going to Chiang Mai next week.

We are going to the market. หรือ
We’re going to the market.

She is going home. หรือ
She’s going home.
(เราใช้ go home โดยไม่ต้องมี to)
